Does Leonardo da Vinci's "Treatise on Painting" contain all the info I need to understand perspective + light?

It may not be all you need to know, but I'm sure it will give you more than enough to have a solid grasp of the subject. Be aware that great art is more than just the technical aspect and that it takes the soul of the artist to make greatness.
