Omg!! tough draw in eastbourne!!?

I agree, what a killer draw! Petrova vs. Ivanovic and Mauresmo vs. Zvonareva in the first round? Sheesh, whoever wins this tournament truly deserves the title. Williams sisters are absent (from these lesser tournaments) as usual. Seems like gr 'tune-up' tournaments have less importance for the women. But the question is, why do they decide to have a Premier gr tournament, which will serve as the primary preparation for many of the top players, the week before Wimbledon?
