Is creationism compatable with the theory of evolution?

Some creationists argue that evolution is entirely incompatable with the Biblical creation story. Some evolutionists flagrantly reject creationism. Then again, there are those who find common ground between the two. What's your opinion? And be sure to give a fair explaination of your answer.
