Can i leave crested gecko diet in the cage everyday?

i leave a cap full of cgd in the tank everyday, and was wondering if i have to take it out and only leave it in 2-3days? i heard theyre only supposed to be fed 2-3days a week of cgd? cant i just leave it in, and if theyre hungry theyll eat it?
