Should the death penalty be extended to include cases other then 1st degree murder?

And none of this lethal injection stuff either. At one time you could get the death penalty for kidnapping and killing a cop and it was a rare occasion these things happened. As soon as they lifted it it's an everyday occurrence. Today this seems a little extreme but it was a great deterrent.
