Harmlessly dating at 13 ...?

I am a Christian and so is my famiy. I enjoy God and i am a straight A student and I always read my bible, but why is it that I am always shut down when the topic of dating comes up.. . I know that I am 13 and I am still young, but I have a MAD crush and he feels the same way, but how can I convince my parents I am responsible. It is nothing heavy. To me, dating at this age is just saying hi and bye, hanging out at recess and maybe holding hands. That`s all. PLEASE ANSWER !!! Thanks in advance !! :))
